Q39. Is there something significant about his being crucified instead of dying some other way?
Yes. This death convinces me that he shouldered the curse which lay on me, since death by crucifixion was cursed by God.

39. Is there anything more significant about his being crucified than if he had died some other kind of death?
Answer. Yes, there is; for by this I am assured that he took on himself the curse that lay upon me, since the death of the cross was declared accursed by God.
